Chris Vallillo of the Illinois Humanities Council performs Stephen Foster’s song, “Oh! Susanna,” during “Stephen Foster and the Rise of American Music” at the Jefferson County Historical Village on Saturday. Vallillo played some of Foster’s most famous songs and shared the details of his life during the free IHC Road Scholar Program.
