For the first time in 111 years, the Illinois Supreme Court was in the 5th District Appellate Courthouse in Mt. Vernon to hear oral arguments on cases. The Supreme Court moved out of the courthouse in 1897, making way for the building to house only the appellate court. From left are Justice Lloyd A. Karmeier, Justice Thomas L.
