Kris and Diana Chamness show off the slate pizza oven at Pizza Man at 416 Main St. Chamness took possession of the restaurant April 6 after his father retired following a run of more than 20 years as the Mt. Vernon institution’s owner. Chamness said he hopes to keep the store’s fiercely loyal clientele and expand with new, modern initiatives.
