	More than 180 motorcycles made an annual pit stop in Mt. Vernon while participating in the &amp;#8220;Run for the Wall,&amp;#8221; which is a 10-day journey beginning in Rancho Cucomonga, Calif., and ending at the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. With the assistance of local law enforcement and local volunteers, the riders fueled their motorcycles at the Hucks at South 45th Street and ate a meal provided by Dale&amp;#8217;s Harley-Davidson. Official fuel crew, staging team and group leaders brought the group&amp;#8217;s numbers to more than 200.&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;

	More than 125 people came out to the Mt. Vernon Outland Airport to participate in Sara&amp;#8217;s Walk for Epilepsy. The walk is held in honor of Sara Stubblefield, who worked as an epilepsy service coordinator for the Epilepsy Foundation of Southern Illinois for 10 years. Stubblefield&amp;#8217;s first seizure happened when she was in high school. Her work was to raise awareness about epilepsy and Sara&amp;#8217;s Walk is one event held to help people understand epilepsy.&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;
