Michael Kaegan Welch was born 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville.
He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.
Kaegan is the son of Mallory and Chad Thomas Welch of Belle Rive. He is welcomed home by his siblings, David, Emma, Brittany and Kevin.
Maternal grandparents are David and Linda Scrivner of Belle Rive. Great-grandmother is Ruth Presley of Ina.
Paternal grandparents are Tom and Charmaine Welch of Tallageda, Ala.
