MT. VERNON — —
A boil-water order has been issued for all of Jefferson County.
The order is in effect due to a water distribution line break between Rend Lake Conservancy District and the City of Mt. Vernon, which has been fixed.
Additional water testing in the lines is expected to be completed on Tuesday. More information will be posted online at www.register-news.com as it becomes available.
