Incident
- An employee of the Mt. Vernon Township High School told police someone “busted out” a window of her vehicle parked in an alley at the high school on Thursday, according to police records.

Incidents
- A student at the Waltonville High School was detained for being in possession of brass knuckles on Friday. The weapons were recovered by school officials, according to police records.
- The back door to a house in the 20100 block of North Hails Lane was reported to have been “kicked-in” at 1:56 p.m Friday.
- A woman driving on Fairfield Road in Bluford told police she found a 3-year-old child running alongside the road around 3:56 p.m. Thursday. According to police records, the child was returned to a babysitter.
Thefts
- A break-in at Newells Furniture and Gifts in Woodlawn was reported to police at 9:10 a.m. Friday. The break-in occurred overnight and some items were reported taken.
- A burglary was reported in the 2700 block of North Mill Street in Scheller at 3:10 p.m. Thursday.
- Three political signs were reported taken from a lawn in the 5000 block of East Mozart. The report came in at 7:25 p.m. Thursday.
