A woman was battered by another woman near 19th Street and Lamar Avenue at 12:16 a.m. Sunday and was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Health Center with head injuries, according to police records.
A man told police on Sunday that two dogs described as pit bulls entered his backyard in the 400 block of South 22nd Street and attempted to attack him and his dog.
A window to a residence in the 2500 Casey Avenue was reported shot out on Sunday at 6:11 p.m.

A truck was reported broken into in the 400 block of South 12th Street at 11:12 a.m. Sunday.
A handgun was reported stolen in the 1500 block of Paula Drive at 5:10 p.m. Sunday.
A residence in the 1300 block of South 12th Street was reported broken into about a week ago, police were told at 6:12 p.m. Sunday.

Arrests
Brandon A. Fitzpatrick, 23, of the 400 block of South 22nd Streeet, was arrested on a warrant for failure to return from furlough. Bond was set at $30,000.

Structure fire
A house fire Saturday morning at 12636 Liebengood Rd. just east of Mt. Vernon was contained to the attic, Fire Chief Mike Huntman said. No injuries were reported. A cause has not been determined though it is not considered suspicious. Huntman said the house was occupied by its owner, Norma Dyer, at the time of the fire. The fire was reported at 9:08 a.m. and kept firefighters on the scene until 11:41 a.m.
