Thefts

An employee of the Holiday Inn reported at 6:23 a.m. Saturday that a guest’s vehicle was broken into.

A report was made at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday that a door had been kicked in at an apartment in the 100 block of North Seventh Street.

A resident in Carbondale reported to police at 10:33 a.m. Thursday that someone was using their name to buy prescription drugs at Walgreens in Mt. Vernon.

Police received a report at 1:17 p.m. Thursday that someone stole money from a subject at a residence near Mt. Vernon Township High School.

A report was made at 3:47 p.m. Thursday that someone used another subject’s credit card to make a purchase at a Huck’s in Mt. Vernon.

Incidents

A report was made at 5:44 p.m. Friday that a tire was slashed at the Wal-Mart parking lot.

A resident in the 400 block of Perkins Avenue reported at 8:54 a.m. Saturday that a subject in a vehicle shot at their house and continued driving.

A resident in the 700 block of Lamar Avenue reported to police at 9:07 a.m. Thursday that their son had been battered on his way to school.



Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office

Thefts

A resident in the 19900 block of East Pinecone Road in Bluford reported at 4:22 p.m. Friday that equipment from their barn had been stolen.

The sheriff’s office received a report at 8:04 a.m. Saturday that a barn was burglarized in the 15600 block of East Bonnie Road.

A report was made at 10:36 a.m. Saturday that burglary occurred in the 15400 block of East Bonnie Road.

A resident in the 5300 block of North Spring Garden Lane reported at 1:39 p.m. Saturday that their shed was burglarized.

Incidents

The owner of Red Carpet Inns reported at 9:46 p.m. Wednesday that someone damaged the Coke machine.

A resident in the 14300 block of North Pumphouse Lane reported at 1:05 p.m. Thursday that someone drove by their house and shot it with paintballs.

Fires

A structure fire not fully involved on North Buchanan Lane in Dix was reported to the sheriff’s office at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday.
