Arrests

Douglas L. Dearing, 24, of the 1800 block of Franklin Avenue, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. Tuesday on an in-state warrant. Bond for Dearing was set at $2,000.

Thefts

Police received a report at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday that a wallet was lost or stolen at the Holiday Inn.

Incidents

A resident in the 500 block of Short Street reported at 6:37 p.m. Tuesday they were being harassed on the phone.

Police received a report at 1:41 p.m. Wednesday that someone had forged information and fraudulently used a checking account.

A resident in the 2700 block of College Street reported to police at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday they were the victim of an online scam.



Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Michael R. Copley, 28, of Brookport, was arrested at 6:23 p.m. on Tuesday on a charge of contempt of court.

Randy D. Karnes, 21, of the 1400 block of Salem Road, was arrested at 1:05 p.m. on Tuesday on a charge of contempt of court. Bond for Karnes was set at $3,000.

Incidents

A resident in the 22800 block of East Maple Road in Bluford contacted the JCSO to report he ran a black horse out of his garage. The owner of the animal was contacted about the incident.

The JCSO received a report of illegal dumping on North Snapdragon Lane in Texico at 5:33 p.m. on Tuesday. According to reports, small and large items had been dumped including tires, a table, recliner and other furniture.

Arrests

Kenneth R. Bruns, 60, of the 400 block of South 19th Street, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. Wednesday on charges of contempt of court. Bond for Bruns was set at $1,500.

Jaryan D. Brock-Brantley, 20, of the 19500 block of East Acorn Road in Opdyke, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. Wednesday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of cannabis. Bond for Brock-Brantley was set at $8,000.
