Arrests
- Kane Tucker, 18, of the 800 block of South 24th Street, was arrested at 1:21 p.m. Friday on a charge of violation of bail bond. He posted bond and was released.
- Gary McMahon, 48, of the 400 block of South 22nd Street, was arrested at 6:37 p.m. Friday on charges of disorderly conduct and possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams. Bail was set at $1,000.
- James Dotts, 70, of the 2700 block of Jones Street, was arrested at 12:44 a.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender. He posted bond and was released.
- Jesse Payne Sr., 58, Dix, was arrested at 1:10 a.m. Saturday on a charge of retail theft. He posted bond and was released.
- Holly Stewart, 27, of the 1600 block of Forest Avenue, was arrested at 3:28 a.m. Saturday on a charge of possession of drug equipment. She posted bond and was released.
- Delmay Hawkins, 44, of the 400 block of South 18th Street, was arrested at 4:26 a.m. Saturday on a charge of driving while license suspended. Bail was set at $1,500.
- Raydeen Tapp, 21, of the 200 block of South Second Street, was arrested at 3:19 p.m. Saturday on a charge of driving while license suspended. She posted bond and was released.
- Summer Brantley, 18, of the 300 block of South 44th Street, was arrested at 9:47 p.m. Saturday on a charge of retail theft. She posted bond and was released.
- David Hughey, 31, of the 200 block of Opdyke Avenue, was arrested at 10:13 p.m. Saturday on charges of domestic battery, resisting arrest, and aggravated battery of a police officer. Bail was to be set.
- Thomas Rector, 23, of the 2700 block of Jones Street, was arrested at 3:57 a.m. Sunday on charges of violation of bail bond, resisting arrest, meth manufacturing, meth precursor, and possession of meth manufacturing materials. Bail was to be set.
Incidents
- An officer reported hearing gunshots at the intersection of 19th Street and Logan Avenue at 12:56 p.m. Saturday. Several people reportedly heard the shots, but a source was not located, according to police logs.
- A male from the Armed Forces Reserve Center reported at 8:49 a.m. Sunday that a guard member had been found with drug paraphernalia. Police responded and issued a citation.
- Two callers reported hearing gunshots at 2 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Cherry Street.
Thefts
- An employee of a motel in the 200 block of Potomac Boulevard told police at 10:33 a.m. Saturday that a paying guest stole a comforter.
- A resident in the 400 block of North 10th Street reported at 11 a.m. Saturday that a padlock was removed from a door leading to an upstairs bedroom and silver flatware and coins were taken from the residence.
- Loss prevention personnel from a business at 110 Davidson Avenue told police at 8:48 p.m. Saturday that a juvenile and an adult were in custody for shoplifting.
- An attendant at the 3300 Broadway Huck’s location reported a drive-off at 11:12 p.m. Sunday.

Arrests
- Alvin Chelf, 41, Texico, was arrested at 11:38 p.m. Friday on a charge of aggravated domestic battery. Bail was set at $25,000.
- Jared Hayes, 25, of the 19000 block of North Miller Lake Lane, was arrested at 5:08 a.m. Saturday on a charge of obstruction of an officer. He posted bond and was released.
- Anthony Elgin, 24, of the 13000 block of East Smith Road, was arrested at 5:49 a.m. Saturday on a charge of driving under the influence. He posted bond and was released.
- Kimberly Eckhardt, 41, Addieville, was arrested at 12:21 p.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond. She posted bond and was released.
- Leonard Potts III, 48, of the 700 block of South 23rd Street, was arrested at 6:41 p.m. Saturday on a charge of driving under the influence. He posted bond and was released.
- Brittaney Maurer, 26, of the 15000 block of North Illinois 37, was arrested at 4:44 a.m. Sunday on a charge of driving under the influence. She posted bond and was released.
Incidents
- Damage to a window at a residence in the 1000 block of Park Avenue was reported to the sheriff’s department at 8:33 p.m. Sunday.
Thefts
- A resident in the 17000 block of North Steel Lane in Woodlawn reported the theft of tires and rims from the residence at 1:50 p.m. Saturday.
Accidents
- Authorities responded to a three-vehicle accident at 3:18 p.m. Saturday on Illinois 37 at A&S Fabrication. According to police logs, one person was issued a citation and one person was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Health Center for treatment of injuries.
