Hog Heaven
Samantha Brookman’s gilt is in hog heaven Tuesday taking a quick shower to stay clean before being shown on Wednesday. Her aunt and 4-H leader, Heather Stevenson helps her wash her entries. Brookman is a member of the Farrington Horse Creekers club, and is one of many youth in the area showing their animals this week. Winners so far include Luke Stanhouse who received grand champion honors for his steer and reserve champion honors for his feeder; Ryan Majewski as reserve champion for his steer; Kiara Lueking who received grand champion honors for her market wether goat and Kristin Wetzel who received reserve champion for her market wether goat. The 4-H fair continues through Friday at the fairgrounds, located next to Rend Lake College in Ina.
