MT. VERNON —
The doors to the Granada Center for the Performing Arts will open at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for the second movie of the Classic Kids Matinee season.
The showing of “An American Tale” begins at 2 p.m. and admission is free. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The movie is sponsored by Community First Bank which will give away a $50 Kids Club Account before the movie starts.
The remaining movies are scheduled as follows: “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” Dec. 1, “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” Jan. 12, “Rugrats in Paris” Feb. 9, “Open Season 3” March 9, “Madagascar, Escape 2 Africa” April 13 and “A Cinderella Story” May 11.
All of the movies will begin at 2 p.m., except for the December movie, which will begin at 4 p.m. so children will also have the chance to attend the downtown Christmas parade. Doors will open half an hour before each movie is scheduled to begin.
