Arrests

  • Deirdre A. Gibbs, 43, of the 1600 block of South 13th Street, was arrested at 3 a.m. Friday on a charge of criminal damage to property.
  • Justin M. Brown, 28, of the 1100 block of South 17th Street, was arrested at 8:18 p.m. Thursday on a charge of aggravated battery in a public place.
  • Quentin Lee Rinehart, 43, of Evansville, Ind., was arrested at 6:23 p.m. Thursday on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender.
  • Darrell A. Maxie, 18, of the 1700 block of South 12th Street, was arrested at 4:55 p.m. Thursday on a charge of operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Bond was set at $1,500. Maxie was released.
  • Jaryan D. Brock-Brantley, 22, of the 19500 block of East Acorn Road in Opdyke, was arrested at 3:34 p.m. Thursday on a charge of criminal trespass to residence. Bond was set at $1,000. Brock-Brantley was released.

Thefts

  • A cell phone was reported stolen at 9:16 a.m. Friday from a car that was parked at Lone Star Steakhouse.
  • A television and a cell phone were reported stolen from a residence in the 900 block of South 23rd Street at 3:46 p.m. Thursday.

Incidents

  • A woman told police at 8:20 a.m. Friday her vehicle was covered with glue and ice cream while it was parked in the 1400 block of Salem Road overnight.
  • A cable was reported cut at a residence in the 1200 block of Herbert Street at 12:32 a.m. Friday.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

  • John Kelly Cavender, 47, of the 14800 block of Woodlawn Lane in Woodlawn, was arrested at 4:46 a.m. Friday on charges of contempt of court and theft of labor, services of property. Cavender was released.
  • Jeremy W. Mount, 31, of the 16500 block of Fairfield Road, was arrested at 2:46 p.m. Thursday on a charge of violating bail bond.
  • Devondis M. Jackson, 19, of the 600 block of South 16th Street, was arrested at 9:48 a.m. Thursday on a charge of home invasion while armed with a firearm. Bond was set at $250,000.

Incidents

  • Deputies received a report at 3:50 p.m. Thursday of patio furniture vandalized in the 500 block of Pepple Avenue in Bluford.
