Mt. Vernon Mayor Mary Jane Chesley has proclaimed Oct. 5 through Oct. 11 as National 4-H Week in the city. Those present for the proclamation signing were Dan Spangler and Jamie Wheeler of the University of Illinois Extension Service and Jefferson County 4-H program.
