MT. VERNON —
A city man was arrested early Tuesday in relation with a Dec. 8 shooting incident.
Jamarco V. Foulks, 25, of the 1900 block of Conger Avenue, was arrested at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, two counts of manufacture/delivery of controlled substances and possession of cannabis, according to information from the Mt. Vernon Police Department.
The Mt. Vernon Police Department/ Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High Risk Team executed a search warrant at 2302 Perkins Avnue in Mt. Vernon, as a result of an investigation into a shooting incident in the 2000 block of Conger Avenue on Dec. 8, 2012.
Following this search warrant, patrol officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Foulks and took him into custody.
The traffic stop resulted in a second search warrant being obtained for Foulk’s residence at 1906 Conger Avenue.
Foulks is being held in the Jefferson County Justice Center.
MVPD Chief Chris Mendenall said the Dec. 8 shooting did not involve any individuals being shot.
