MT. VERNON —
Mt. Vernon police responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank at 2711 Broadway at about 11 a.m. Saturday.
A black male subject robbed the bank, according to information provided by the Mt. Vernon Police Department. He left with an undisclosed amount of money, information states. No one was injured during the incident.
The incident is under investigation by the Mt. Vernon Police Department, said MVPD Chief Chris Mendenall.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the MVPD at (618) 242-2727.
