BENTON — A Mt. Vernon man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on drug charges.
Terrance R. Vance, 27, of Mt. Vernon, was charged in a two count indictment that alleges on Sept. 15, Vance possessed with intent to distribute less than 5 grams of crack cocaine, and on Nov. 7, 2008, Vance allegedly possessed with the intent to distribute more than 5 grams of crack cocaine.
An investigation into the charges was conducted by the Joint Narcotics Unit of the Mt. Vernon Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administr-ation and the Illinois State Police.
