MT. VERNON — — Jefferson Fire Protection District responded to a garage fire in the 400 block of Allen Drive in Bonnie about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday. According to firefighters on the scene, the fire started in the garage and damaged a truck parked inside. Smoke and water damage was reported to the house, adjacent to the garage. Waltonville and Mt. Vernon fire departments provided equipment and manpower. The name of the homeowner was not immediately available.
