UPDATE: Jury in Wilks verdict - Not guilty

MT. VERNON — MT. VERNON — The courtroom erupted as Judge Terry Gamber read the jury verdict in the first-degree murder trial of 21-year-old Lashawn Wilks: Not guilty.

Hours today are 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event is sponsored by Herbs for Health and Fun Club and Mt. Vernon Convention and Visitors Bureau.
