Keenes man dies in wreck

BLUFORD — A Keenes man was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-vehicle accident early Monday morning.

Rodney W. Kuhn, 71, of Keenes, died as a result of his injuries when his vehicle rolled several times down an embankment on East Illinois Highway 15 and Pigeon Lane. According to reports, Kuhn was partially ejected from the vehicle through the passenger side window when the accident happened, and the vehicle landed on top of him.

Kuhn was traveling eastbound on Illinois Highway 15 when the accident occurred, and the cause of the accident is undetermined. Webber Township Fire Protection District, Jefferson Fire Protection District, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and Litton Ambulance responded to the accident. Kuhn was pronounced dead at the scene.
