Together with their parents, Sarah Renee Sneed and Derek Wayne Moore are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Sarah is the daughter of Don and Lea Sneed of Bluford. She is the granddaughter of Minnie Sneed and the late Marion Sneed; and Murvin and Virginia McCord of Wayne City. Sarah is a 2005 graduate of Webber Township High School. She obtained her associate of arts and science degrees at Rend Lake College in 2007. She attended Eastern Illinois University where she obtained a bachelors degree in elementary and middle level education in 2009. She is currently a first grade teacher at Bluford Grade School.
Derek is the son of Jeff and Karen Moore of Bonnie. He is the grandson of Terry and Connie Moore and Wayne and Brenda Kash of Bonnie. Derek is a 2006 graduate of Mt. Vernon Township High School. He obtained his associate degree in applied science at Rend Lake College in 2008. After graduation, he returned to the family farm and currently owns and operates Moore Seed Supply.
The couple will marry on Aug. 3, at the Ina Freewill Baptist Church with a dinner and reception to follow at the Rend Lake Resort.
