MT. VERNON —
Paul Ryan Lane and Bobbie Jean Thompson would like to announce their engagement.
The couple were engaged in Phoenix, Ariz., 4,000 feet above sea level in a hot air balloon.
Ryan Lane, son of Coletta and Randy Garner of Wayne City and Paul and Sheryl Lane of Kinmundy, currently works as a physical therapist assistant traveling across the country. He plans to go back to school to become a physician’s assistant after the wedding.
Bobbie Thompson, daughter of Bob Thomspon of Mt. Vernon and Myrt Thompson and Mike McDaniel of Boyd, works as a registered nurse traveling across the country and is currently enrolled at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she will obtain her bachelor’s degree in nursing.
She will then continue her education and complete a nurse practioner program after the wedding.
The couple currently resides in Phoenix, Ariz., and plans for a June 2013 wedding.
