MT. VERNON —
Harvey and Irene Lovin will celebrate their 70th anniversary this month.
They were married Jan. 9, 1943, in St. Louis, while Harvey was on leave from the Army during WWII. Irene Warren was a Jefferson County school teacher at that time. They have four children: Robin Lovin of Princeton, N.J., Marilyn (Guy) Aylward of Mt. Vernon, Bill (Robin) Lovin of Iowa City, Iowa, and Nancy (Jim) Zilch of Bartonville.
They have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
