MT. VERNON —
Bill and Karen Horton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Dec. 23.
Bill is the son of the late Woodrow and Louise Horton of Belle Rive. Karen is the daughter of the late W.W. (Bill) and Edna Colvin of Mt. Vernon.
Their family includes three children, Barry Horton and wife Gwen of Dix, Melissa Ramos and husband Orlando of Salem and Randy Horton and wife Stephanie of Bartlett, Tenn. Their children have blessed them with two grandchildren each, Elizabeth and husband Robert Anderson and Sarah, Ellen and Aaron, Jackson and Tucker.
To celebrate, they recently took a trip to Ontario, Canada and Niagra Falls.
To honor them, their children will host a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at Community of Christ Church on North Illinois Highway 37 and Oakton Road. All family and friends are invited.
