Ms. Gina Shafer and Dr. Richard Schenk II joyfully announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Gina is the daughter of Laura and Ken Bauer of Centralia and Ruskin, Fla., and Ron and Joyce Smith of Mt. Vernon. She has two sons, Michael (Whitney) Shafer of Chicago and Adam Shafer of Salem. She has one granddaughter, Regin Shafer of Chicago. She is a computer specialist.
Richard is the son of Rosaneil Schenk and the late Dr. Richard Schenk of Cleveland. He is the father of Melissa Schenk and Steven Schenk of Champaign. He is a pathologist at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan in Mt. Vernon.
A June 2010 wedding is planned.
