Dickerson Anniversary

Paul Dickerson, son of the late John and Marie (Lawless) Dickerson and Mary (Flamm) Dickerson, daughter of the late Joseph and Elois (Keirce) Flamm, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on Nov. 26, 1949, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cairo by the Rev. Fredrick Kilfoil.

The Dickersons are the parents of seven children. Their family includes a son, David and his wife Kris of Durham, N.C.; a daughter, Kathy and her husband Roger Minton of San Antonio; a daughter, Jane Sanders of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Leslie and her husband Fred Pigg of Mt. Vernon; a son, Dean and his wife Judy of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Barbara and her husband Kevin Kocher of Cary, N.C.; a daughter, Carol and her husband Brandon Bullard of Mt. Vernon; and 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A son, John Joseph Dickerson, and twin daughters, Paula and Mary Dickerson, died at birth.

The Dickerson children and their spouses are hosting a reception in honor of the anniversary at Mitchell Museum from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21. Friends of the couple are encouraged to attend.

Please, no gifts, your attendance is gift enough.

A Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Mt. Vernon at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22.
