Susan L. Parrish, 55, of Mt. Vernon, died 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.
She was born Thursday, June 20, 1957, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Don R. and Janet Sue (Fenton) Parrish.
Susan was a waitress, volunteered several days per week for His Hands Food Ministry in Mt. Vernon and was a member of Renewed Hope in Christ Church in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by her father, Don Parrish of Mt. Vernon; daughter, Christina Lee Crain of Anna; brothers, Donald Richard Parrish, Jr. “Rick” and his wife Jamie of Ocala, Fla. and T.J. Parrish and wife Sara of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Alyson Renae Storey and husband Adrian of St. Louis and Amyah Page Parrish and husband Jeff Fedora of Port Orange, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her grandparents.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with Pastor Dan Harriman officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
There will be no visitation.
