MT. VERNON —
Pauline Sanders, age 91, of Centralia, passed away 1:10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at her home in rural Centralia.
She was born Dec. 22, 1920, in rural Kell, the daughter of Everett V. Wethington and Pearl (Hinderer) Wethington. She married Ermil Gale Sanders March 7, 1939, in Cameron, Mo. and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker, past president of the Marion County Republican Women’s Club, served on the Marion County Election Board and was a member of the University of Illinois Home Extention. She was also a carpenter, farmer crafter, seamstress, gardener and laborer. Family and friends will also remember her affectionately as a self-proclaimed accountant, doctor and lawyer. Most of all she will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Pauline is survived by her son, Ronald G. Sanders of Centralia; her daughters, Barbara Jean Tiemann and husband Ross of Belleville and Janet Sue Dyne of Belleville; and by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ermil; and by one brother, Dean Wethington.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Little Grove Cemetery in rural Centralia with Pastor Jim Burleyston officiating. No public visitation will be held and friends and neighbors are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Little Grove Cemetery Association or the Alzheimer’s Association and will be received at the L. R. Osborn & Son Funeral Home in Kell.
