MT. VERNON —
Michael Alan “Mick” Hartley, 66, of Charleston and formerly of New Port Richey, Fla., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the home of his sister and with the comforting presence of his brother and sister at his side.
A family graveside service in celebration of his life will be held at Knob Prairie Cemetery in Waltonville at a later date. It is requested that memorial gifts in his honor be made to Knob Prairie Cemetery. Gifts may be mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.
Mick was born on January 12, 1946 in Mt. Vernon and was a son of the late Ed and Doris (Green) Hartley.
He is survived by a daughter, Connie Jo Hartley of Loves Park; a son, Michael Edward Hartley of Charleston; three grandchildren, Madelaine Jo Hartley, Gage Michael Hartley and Patrick William Hartley; a sister, Donna Ozier of Charleston; a brother, Terry Hartley and wife Kathy of Charleston; and many nieces and nephews.
