Vada Irvin, 97, of Bradley and formerly of Dahlgren, died 6:10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Bradley Royale Nursing Center in Bradley.
She was born Nov. 6, 1915, in Hamilton County, the daughter of Nobel and Lula (Allen) Dial. She married Don Irvin; he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Irvin is survived by a daughter, Donna (Wayne) Irvin of Bourbonnais; two grandchildren, Michael Irvin of Momence and Sherry Lowe of Cumming, Ga.; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and two brothers.
She was a retired mental health technician at the former Manteno State Hospital in Manteno. She was a member of Dahlgren Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Dustin Haile officiating. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery in Dahlgren.
Visitation will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren.
Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
