Mark Anthony Linn, 55, of Mt. Vernon, passed away 8:12 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Mark was born May 31, 1957, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Harmon E. and Rose Marilyn (Gardner) Linn.
Mr. Linn was a union construction glazer. He graduated from Old Union Grade School and Mt. Vernon Township High School Class of 1976. His track relay team was inducted into the high school hall of fame. He had a great love for motorcycles.
Mark is survived by his son, Anthony Bo Linn of Woodlawn; daughter, Mica and husband Rigo Curiel of St. Louis; brother, Doug Linn and wife Nancy of Mt. Vernon; and one aunt, Ila Mae Smith of Aurora.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two uncles, Marvin Lynn and Harold Linn; and one aunt, Ruth Waud.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with Pastor J. Howard Kraps officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon,
