MT. VERNON —
Larry H. Tittle, age 67, of Pekin, passed away Friday Jan. 25, 2013, at 1:13 a.m. at his residence.
He was born Feb. 4, 1945, in Bonnie, to Howard and Ollie (Crawford) Tittle. He first married Norma Ball July 31, 1965, in East Peoria. She passed away Oct. 25, 2002, in Pekin. He later married Dorothy Schaefer Aug. 5, 2006, in Dunlap; she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jimmy Tittle of Edelstein and Bradley Tittle of Marquette Heights; one grandson, Cahner Tittle of Marquette Heights; one sister, Sandra (Dave) Mabus of Washington, two step-daughters, Tammy Kunstmanis of Burlington, Iowa and Lisa Allen of Peoria; two step-sons, Adam (Lisa) Schaefer of Burlington, Iowa and Jeff Schaefer of Herrin; several step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; and one daughter, Sheryl Tittle.
Larry worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for over 30 years retiring in 1998. He was a member of UAW 974. He loved the outdoors and riding his motorcycle. He also loved working on vehicles in his spare time. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be Monday at noon at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services on Monday.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
