Shirley Ann Moore-Elliott, 66, of Mt. Vernon, died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at her residence.
She was born March 4, 1946, in Centralia, daughter of Cleo and Carrie (Jackson) Moore.
Shirley worked as an in-home caregiver and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors are her children, Kevin Smith of Nashville, Tenn., Tyson Smith, Luberta Moore, Elaine Moore and Vernadine Elliott of Mt. Vernon, and Zenita Moore of Hopkinsville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Alan Moore, Dennis P. (Rose) Moore, Clarence Wallace and James Wallace of Mt. Vernon, Jake Wallace, Howard Wallace and Otis Wallace of Baton Rouge, L.A.; sisters, Mary E. Johnson and Sharon Wallace of Mt. Vernon and Julia Wallace of Charleston, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Lawrence James officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Jackson Funeral Home of Mt. Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
