Mrs. Arleen A. Moeller, of Nashville, departed this life at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at 8:10 p.m. She had attained the age of 78 years, 1 month and 27 days.
Arleen was born on Oct. 19, 1934, in Plum Hill Township, the daughter of Erhardt and Pauline (Roethemeyer) Steinkamp. She was united in marriage to Charles Moeller on Feb. 15, 1953, at Plum Hill, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1992.
Arleen was involved with the family business, Moeller Brothers Trucking in Nashville for 60 years. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ at Plum Hill, where she was a active in the Women’s Guild. She was also a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau. Arleen loved following her grandchildren’s sporting events and enjoyed playing cards and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Left to mourn her passing are her two children, Deb Schwankhaus and her husband Tom of Okawville and Gary Moeller and his wife Connie of Nashville; three grandchildren, Brianne Moeller and her fiancée Jonathan Steinkamp and Michael and Jennifer Moeller, all of Nashville; aunt, Fern Roethemeyer of Nashville; sister-in-law, Amanda Moeller of Stone Church; godchild, Cindy Clifton of Centralia; and many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and an infant daughter, Carol Kay Moeller.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. John United Church of Christ at Plum Hill with the Rev. Don Jones and the Rev. Bruce Moeller officiating and with interment in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville and then from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to St. John’s Organ Fund, St. Ann Catholic School, Irvington Food Pantry or to the memorial fund of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
