Jack Carlyle Goddard Jr., 65, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 9:42 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. today at Smith-Veterans Cemetery in Jefferson County, with American Legion Chaplain Ernie Collins officiating. Burial with full military honors conducted by members of Mt. Vernon American Legion Post 141 will follow at Smith-Veterans Cemetery in Jefferson County.
For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Goddard Family in memory of Jack Carlyle Goddard Jr., and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864.
