Mary Lou Lemmons

MCLEANSBORO — Mary Lou Lemmons, 63, of McLeansboro, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at her home.

Mrs. Lemmons was a registered certified nurse assistant, having worked in several area hospitals and nursing homes.

She was born in Sikeston, Mo., on Nov. 13, 1946, a daughter of Lloyd and Ruby (Mouser) Sitzes.

Mary Lou married Tommy Gene Lemmons, and he survives.

She was a member of the former Dale Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Gerald “Andy” May officiating. Interment will follow at Florine Cemetery near Rosiclare.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service time Thursday at the funeral home.

In addition to her husband, Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Cindy Miller and husband Joseph of Harrisburg, Shannon Vailes and husband James of McLeansboro, Niki Lee and husband Jeffrey of McLeansboro and Melissa Owens and husband Terry of Belleville; a son, Jonny Green and wife Vicky of Dale; two brothers, Allen Davidson of Eldorado and Richardson Davidson of Burton, Mich.; a sister, Connie Vineyard of Galatia; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one great-grandchild, four brothers and two sisters.
