MT. VERNON —
Albert David Jourdan, 81 of Bluford, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at his home.
He was a laborer and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was born Jan. 9, 1931, in Marion County, to Willie and Gussie (Wilcox) Jourdan.
He married Ladonna McDonald on Aug. 12, 1949.
Albert is survived by his wife, Ladonna McDonald Jourdan of Bluford; two sons, Charles Parson of Bluford and Jermy Devine of Elgin; three daughters, Sheryl Meeker of Byron, Patti Devine of Elgin and Amanda Meeker of Bluford; two sisters, Glenna Sledge of Rochester and Mary Glenn of Mt. Vernon; a niece, Donna Jean Smith of Mt. Vernon; and four great-grandchildren, Nick, Kastle, Ryder Parson and Tristian Bucknell.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City with the Rev. Wisity Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Garrison Temple Cemetery in Keenes.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
