MT. VERNON —
Robert Carl Piercy, 66, of Ina passed away at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at the Mt. Vernon Health Care Center.
He was born in Richview, on Oct. 7, 1946, the son of Alva & Marion (Gobright) Piercy.
Mr. Piercy was a veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1966-1970.
He married Minnie L. (Neal) on Aug. 27, 1976, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia Wingfield of Mt. Vernon and Carole Lynam of Mt. Vernon; three grandchildren, Brittany, Tiffany and April; and one sister, Judy Ragan of Pocahontas, Ark.
Mr. Piercy was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Roxy.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Smith-Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. John Overturf officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 141 of Mt. Vernon.
Those attending the services are requested to meet at the cemetery.
The Johnston Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.
