MT. VERNON —
Darell D. Wyatt, 65, of Ewing, passed awy Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Roswell, N.M., on Oct. 10, 1947, the son of Lestel and Alma (Hopper) Wyatt.
He married Sharon Kay McLearin on March 30, 1968, in Benton, and she survives.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Wyatt was a machinist. He loved to fly remote control gliders, and he loved to watch eagles and hawks and hot air balloons. He was a ham radio operator. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Benton and dearly loved his family and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kay Wyatt of Ewing; three daughters, Cheri Ewert of Macedonia, Robin Wyatt of Whittington and Laura Tressler and husband Jeff of Ewing; a special friend, Breanne Bryan of Logan; grandchildren, Jesse Willis, Megan Ewert, Whitley Sanders, Sierra Sanders, Darell Sanders, Wyatt Jacob Sanders, Sydney Tate, Patrick Shelton, Ashley Tressler, Nevin Tressler and Annie Tressler; a great-granddaughter, Zoey Duncan; a brother, Kyle Wyatt of Carterville; a sister-in-law, Nancy Wyatt of Ewing; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Wyatt was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Wyatt.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with the Rev. Bill Hottensen officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be after 12 p.m. Sunday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina.
