Marine Lance Cpl. Jonathan Kyle Price

Marine Lance Cpl. Jonathan Kyle Price, 19, of Woodlawn died 3:42 p.m. Jan. 13, 2006, in Ar Ramadi, Iraq.

He was a lance corporal in the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Price was born April 23, 1986, in Mt. Vernon to David Price and Cheryl (Wall) Price Hunsell.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Christian Church in Woodlawn. Harold Engle and the Rev. Mike Wall will officiate. Burial will follow at Knob Prairie Cemetery north of Waltonville.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Central Christian Church in Mt. Vernon.

Mr. Price is survived by his mother and stepfather, Cheryl Price Hunsell and John Hunsell of Woodlawn; his father, David Price of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, John R. Hunsell of Woodlawn; two sisters, Krystal Martin and husband Eric of St. Louis and Rachel Hunsell of Woodlawn; his fiancee, Brea Tate of Mt. Vernon; his grandparents, Theodore and Elizabeth Price of Marion, Robert and Linda Wall of Martinsville, Ind., Naomi and Charles Lee of Robinson and Elaine and Bill Hutchinson of Waltonville; his great-grandmother, Pauline Dean of Spencer; eight uncles, Tom Price of Terre Haute, Ind., Don Wall and wife Pam of Pennsylvania, Tom Wall and wife Tami of Martinsville, Ind., Brad Wall and wife Cathy of Martinsville, Ind., Ted Hunsell and wife Becky of Belle Rive, Jacob Hunsell and wife Lorie of Nason, Ben Hunsell and wife Cheryl of Pocahontas and Brian Wall and wife JoAnna of Martinsville, Ind.; eight aunts, Susan Bussing of Marion, Debbie Reed and husband Dennis of Wisconsin, Ruth Langheld and husband Gene of Marion, Teresa DeMoss and husband Roger of New Mexico, Mary Lou Hunsell of Du Bois, Susan Long and Jerry Hutchinson of Waltonville, Beth Snyder of Sandoval and Angela Kirkpatrick and husband Kenny of Waltonville; several cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles; a future daughter-to-be, Madison K. “Madi” Price; his future in-laws, Robby and Jane Tate of Mt. Vernon and their son, Bret Tate; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Thomas Price; his paternal great-grandparents; his maternal great-grandparents, Harry and Martha Wall; his great-grandfather, Arthur Dean; his great-grandfather, John Robert Hunsell; two uncles, John Price and Tom Hunsell; and an aunt, Dawn Hunsell.

Mr. Price was a former Eagle Scout with Woodlawn Boy Scout Troop 102.

For those who wish, memorials may be given to Woodlawn Boy Scout Troop 102 and will be accepted at either church or the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864.

    She was born Sept. 19, 1915, in Jefferson County, the daughter of George W. and Emma Jane (Page) Capps. She married Harry Payne May 29, 1933; he preceded her in death May 11, 1977.

    She was born Monday, Oct. 14, 1918, in Benton, the daughter of Jarvis and Callie (Harris) O’Neal. She married Russell A. wicks on Feb. 22, 1942; he preceded her in death July 7, 1979. She married Myron Dale Gilliam on Nov. 11, 1980; he preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2011.
