Mareta Richardson

Mareta Richardson, 89, of Dyer, Ind., and formerly of Jefferson County, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2008.

She is survived by her three children, Howard Richardson and wife Marge, Judy Kouder and husband Dan, and Kevin Richardson; a step daughter, Doris Riley; grandchildren, Scott Richardson and wife Donna, Tim Richardson and wife Tina; Kelly McKee and husband Stewert; Kristina Balog, David Kouder and Danny Kouder; six great-grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Patrick, Katelyn, Cody and Sam; a sister-in-law, Wanda Williamson; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends Ray and Mary Hess and family.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Howard in 1986, and grandson Eric Cody.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, directly at the First Christian Church, 704 Joliet Street in Dyer, Ind., at 11 a.m. Viewing at the church will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, Ind.

Friends and relatives may meet with the family at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 1920 Hart St., Dyer, Ind.

She was very active in her church. She was a member of TOPS for over 35 years and an avid gardener. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

Donations to the church in Mareta’s name would be appreciated.
