MT. VERNON —
Jerry Lee Dalby, 73, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon.
He was born Tuesday, Sept. 12, 1939, in Jefferson County, to James Edward “Ed” and Maude Alma (Reynolds) Dalby.
He married Marilyn Kaye Stewart on March 19, 1971, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 7, 2008.
Jerry was a custodian at Times Square Mall in Mt. Vernon and was a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ.
He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Dalby and fiancee Crystal Bradford of Waltonville; a brother, Edward Glenn Dalby and wife Frances of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Norma Wallace and husband Harl of Claypool, Ariz.; a brother-in-law, Donald Stewart and wife Nancy of Bonnie; three sisters-in-law, Brenda Dulany and husband Terry of Mt. Vernon, Carolyn Donoho and husband John of Princeton, Ind., and Denise Chancey and husband Curt of Bonnie; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
His parents and wife preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Ron Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
