MT. VERNON —
Charlotte Lee Russell, 63, of Bluford, passed away at 1:41 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.
She was born Monday, Feb. 28, 1949, in Mt. Vernon, to LeRoy and JoAnn (Thomason) Frazier.
She was first married to Lowell Williams. She later married Donald Russell and he preceded her in death.
Charlotte drove a school bus for the Opdyke-Belle Rive School District for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Williams of Bluford; a daughter, Tracy Hicks and Jay Johnston of Bluford; a step-daughter, Kim Jones and husband Aaron of Bluford; six grandchildren, Kirstie, Karen, and Kami Hathaway, Josh and Cody Hicks, and Tyler Welch; a great-grandson, Kasen Hicks; a step-mother, Betty Frazier of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Russell Frazier and wife Candy of Highland; an aunt, Anne Cyzs of Wilminton; a special friend, Sharon, of Decatur, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Her parents and one brother, Tom Frazier, preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at Opdyke Cemetery in Opdyke with Jay Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Opdyke Cemetery in Opdyke.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
