MT. VERNON —
Doris Jeanette Smith, 77, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Mt. Vernon, died 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Paducah Care and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah, Ky.
She was born Feb. 16, 1935, in Mt. Vernon, daughter of Ernest H. and Dollie Marie (Patterson) Manley. She married Robert Smith on April 25, 1959, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 2010.
Doris assisted her husband Robert with the operation of their construction company.
She is survived by son, Brian Smith of Yucca Valley, Calif.; daughter, Annette McGinnis and husband David of Fontana, Calif.; and three grandsons, Patrick McGinnis of Fontana, Calif., David McGinnis of Fontana, Calif. and Thomas McGinnis of Fontana, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Billie Manley.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with Mr. Randy Sells officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
There will be no formal visitation.
