Wanda Lowery, 92, of Fairfield and formerly of Wayne City, died Feb. 22, 2013, at Way Fair Nursing Home in Fairfield.
She was born May 12, 1920, in Hamilton County, daughter of Fred and Bessie (Wilkerson) Hutchcraft. She married Alphus Lowery and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1972.
She was a cook at Oak Grove School and a member of Keenes Community Chapel.
She is survived by sons, Kenny and wife Nanci Lowery of Peoria and Ronnie and wife Sybil Lowery of Mills Sholds; sisters, Dorothy Shell of Wayne City, Velma Dean Bailey of Fairfield and Eva Bailey of Mills Sholds; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons; one grandson; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City with the Rev. Mark Shell officiating. Interment will be at Thomason Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairfield First Methodist Church Youth Group.
