Donna M. Gibson-Romano, 63, of Mt. Vernon, died 10:27 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at her home in Mt. Vernon.
She was born Saturday, June 4, 1949, in Salem, the daughter of Wilburn L. and Rena M. (Corrie) Gibson.
Donna was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God in Salem.
She is survived by her son, Bennie W. Barbre of Mt. Vernon; two granddaughters, Alexa and Kenzie Barbre of Mt. Vernon; great-granddaugther, Sophia Lynn Ferguson of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Shirley Conway of Mt. Vernon, Diane Winkler of Centralia, Lilly Waycoff and husband Bobby of Iuka, Linda Russell of Mt. Vernon, Joan Jackson of Mt. Vernon, Rebecca Gibson of Mt. Vernon and Janice Carroll and husband Bobby of Mt. Vernon; brothers, Jerry Gibson and wife Nancy of Centralia and Richard Gibson and wife Lisa of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Stella Rose; twin sisters, Connie and Bonnie; twin brothers, Derald and Jerald; and two brothers, Dwight and Harold Leo Gibson.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at New Life Harvest Church in Mt. Vernon with Pastor D. Wayne Heil and Pastor Kent Jackson officiating. Interment of cremated remains will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Xenia at a later date.
She will be cremated and there will be no visitation.
