Betty J. Krehbiel was born March 7, 1930, in Newton, Kan., daughter of Lester and Nelda (Fowler) Westerman, and departed this life Oct. 23, 2012, in Sarasota, Fla.
She graduated from Moundridge High School in 1949. On November 4th, 1950, she married Wayne L. Krehbiel and to this union was born two daughters, Diane Renee and Dawn Rochelle and one son, Duane Robert.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Diane Geiss, her husband Gary and daughter Melissa of Seattle Washington, Duane Krehbiel, his wife Debra and sons Ian Cooper and wife, Jodi, Shannon Cooper and wife, Chrissima, Andrew Cooper and Isaiah of Mt. Vernon and daughter, Dawn Ritterband, her husband Lee and sons Maxwell and Benjamin of Charlottesville, Va. She is also survived by her brother Jerry of Wichita, Kan.; her sister Nyla of Moundridge Kan.; and her many close and loyal friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; brother, Max Westerman; and sister, Norma Huffman.
Her warm personality and content manner was apparent all through life as a loving mother, grandmother and sister, as well as a caring and devoted friend. She will always be fondly remembered and greatly missed by so many.
Memorial donations may be made to the local Hospice.
