Mary J. Horn, 66, of McLeansboro, died 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at her home.
She was born March 29, 1946, in Davenport, Iowa, daughter of Noel Sr. and Margaret (Cross) Smith. She was married to Keith Bryant and she later married Tom (Slick) Horn, who is deceased.
She was a homemaker and an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post and VFW Post in Carmi.
She is survived by son, Evan Keith (wife Marilyn) Bryant of Norris City; daughters, Michelle (fiancé Robert Rapp) McHugh of McLeansboro and Ruby Elizabeth (husband Ricky) Hass of Norris City; brothers, Tom (wife Vera) Smith of Dale, Alan Smith of Fairfield, Noel (wife Deana) Smith Jr. of Fairfield, Richard Smith of Toledo, Ohio and Dale (Evelyn) Smith of Chicago; seven grandchildren, Sydney and Morgan Bryant, Amanda (husband Kevin) Irvin, April (fiancé Eric Hollmann) Garrett and Kenny, Kaylee and Kyra Hass; and two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Savannah Irvin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Molly; and brothers, Ronald and William (Bill) Smith.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Pastor Chad Everett officiating. Interment will be at Ten Mile Cemetery, near McLeansboro.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Gholson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
