James Curtis “Sarge” Bullington, 62, of Mt. Vernon, passed away 11:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at his home in Mt. Vernon.
He was born Friday, March 17, 1950, in Christopher, to James E. and Donetia (Goff) Bullington.
He married Rhonda Loman in 1971 in Sesser.
“Sarge” was a security guard at Continental Tire the Americas in Mt. Vernon.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Bullington of Mt. Vernon; four daughters, Christine Ellison and husband Larry of Waltonville, Michelle Sandy and husband “Junior” of Mt. Vernon, Jamie Bullington and Loran Garrison of Mt. Vernon and Carrie Bullington of Mt. Vernon; son, Bill Bullington and Greg Uhls of St. Louis; grandchildren, Tyler Klamm and fiancee Kaylin Miller of Dubois, Taylor Ellison and Rachel Spotanski of Waltonville, Trey Ellison of Waltonville, Kile Bullington and Mallory Smith of Mt. Vernon, Kaelynn Bullington and Noah Ilbery of St. Louis, Tiffany, Trevor and J.J. Sandy of Mt. Vernon, Lacy and Josh Bullington of Mt. Vernon, Nick Garrison of Mt. Vernon and Ashton Smith of Mt. Vernon; great-grandson, Colton Sandy of Mt. Vernon; father-in-law, Bill Loman of Sesser; sister, Carolyn Baxter of Sesser; and several nieces, nephews, and five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law also survive.
His parents; three sisters; one great nephew; one brother-in-law; and his mother-in-law preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Jeff Loman officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Rend City.
Visitation will be held from noon until service time at the funeral home.
